Children at Sprouts Farm and Forest Learning

About Sprouts

Our Story

Sprouts Farm Preschool was founded with a passion for outdoor education and a belief in the power of nature to nurture children's development. After years of watching children thrive when given the opportunity to learn outside, we partnered with Tangerini's Spring Street Farm to create a preschool program that would immerse children in nature.

We are a small program that has grown into a vibrant community of young learners, dedicated teachers, and involved families. Sprouts serves children ages 3-6, providing them with an education rooted in the natural world at our beautiful farm location in Millis, Massachusetts.

We remain committed to our founding principles: that children learn best through play, that nature is the ideal classroom, and that a strong community is essential for childhood development. As the first licensed nature-immersive, farm and forest-based early childhood program in Massachusetts, we're proud to be pioneers in this educational approach.

Stephie Regan

Owner & Program Director

Stephie Regan

Stephie has a Masters in Education from Harvard in Early Childhood Risk and Prevention and a Bachelors Degree in Communication Disorders. She has worked in many different Early Childhood educational settings including Early Intervention, private preschools, and with DCF in a family preservation preschool.

Stephie grew up in Vermont, where her love of the outdoors began, spending many, many hours playing outside in the woods making fairy houses and forts in the trees. The oldest of three girls, she also knew from an early age that she wanted to be a teacher. After over 20 years of various experiences in early education, pandemic-related disruptions led her to run a small outdoor preschool program in her yard in Sherborn, which sparked her passion for outdoor learning. Sprouts feels like the culmination of all of her life experiences.
