It takes a village
At Sprouts, we value community and like to nurture our community of parents, grandparents, and caregivers through participation in Sprouts community events throughout the year. These events are a chance for families to come together and have a trusted community to share in the experience that is raising a child.
October
Our Harvest Dinner is the first family event of the year, bringing together all of our Sprouts families to enjoy the bounties of the fall harvest. This pot-luck feast gives everyone an opportunity to get to know each other and meet other members of the Sprouts community and celebrate the season.
November
In early November, we gather for a lantern festival. It is our seasonal celebration that marks the diminishing light of the fall into winter. We gather at dusk on the farm with our lanterns (that the children make) and walk together to the yurt where we gather around a fire and enjoy some delicious Tangerini's Farm cider and donuts.
December
Before we break for our winter holiday, we celebrate the shortest day of the year with our Sprouts children and families. Everyone is invited down to the yurt yard to gather around the fire for hot tea, fresh-baked Sun Bread, and a winter story.
Jan/Feb
In mid-winter, our families come together again around the fire to roast marshmallows, make "stick bread," and savor a warm cup of tea or hot chocolate, all while enjoying the sights and scenes of winter in the yurt yard.
May
Spring is a magical time at the farm and in the forest. As the farm is "waking up" and the yurt yard is coming alive with bird songs and new growth, we take the time to celebrate the love, care, and support of all Sprouts mothers.
Sprouts moms are invited to the farm as our guests of honor for this celebration. The children create gifts and prepare the food using the farm's fresh ingredients (and get to cook in the farm kitchen with Farmer Linda) for this very special meal.
June
At the end of our year, we gather once more to celebrate our time at Sprouts. All are welcome as we take time to look back at our year and all of our Sprouts adventures!
Ongoing
Throughout the year, Sprouts families are invited to gather in the yurt yard on a Friday morning to play and socialize. Sometimes we might have a project or activity (making lanterns or bird feeders) or a yurt yard chore (stacking wood), but either way is a chance for families to come together and PLAY OUTSIDE!

A licensed, nature-immersive preschool for children ages 3–6, located at Tangerini's Spring Street Farm in Millis, MA. Sprouts offers a place-based, early childhood program where children learn through daily outdoor exploration, farm chores, and seasonal rhythms.

A community-centered outdoor play program in Norfolk, MA, owned by Sprouts Lead Teacher Megan Devendorf and operating from nearly 200 acres of forest managed by the Leland Wild Foundation. Let Children Play offers families opportunities to disconnect from screens and reconnect with nature through unstructured, self-directed play.
